What products can I sell?

Eastern Market is a Farmer's market, therefore our first priority is food. Our basic requirement for all products is that you sell only what you produce. Many of our customers come to this market because it is a local, producers market.

We also host local artists on Artist Second Saturdays and at our monthly festivals, and hold Free Concerts at the Market on Saturdays from 11-1. Please check back at this site regularly to find updates on vendors, events, and Saturday musicians.

What do I need to do to sell at Eastern Market?

If you are interested in selling at Eastern Market, fill out the online application or call/email us for a hard copy. We would also like to set-up a time for you to meet with Eastern Market management who will then request a farm visit, photos of products and/or sample of the item(s) you want to sell. Required Documentation

Prepared Food Vendors
1. Must hold a current Lancaster City Health License and provide a copy of the license.
2. Must prepare food in an approved & inspected commercial kitchen and provide documentation.
3. Must become Food Safety Certified within 3 months of start of market.

Meat Vendors
1. Must become Food Safety Certified within 3 months of start of market.
2. Must also post at stand a consumer advisory.

Artist/Artisan Vendors
1. Tax ID number

Vendor applications are reviewed with the following criteria in mind:

1. Products must be grown, prepared or created locally.
2. Products must add to the market mix of available items.
3. Dependability of vendor.
4. High quality products.
